My experience at the Kene Nete Healing Center was nothing short of an amazing journey. It was my first time experiencing ayahuasca and already feeling it will not be the last. I was fortunate to carve out enough time to stay for the 10-day dieta. In that time spent, my journal was my best friend. It helped process all that the medicine revealed to me. In the first 24 hours Dreams, Thoughts and Ideas began flowing as I welcomed the medicine to bring to me everything that was meant for me. Now, 5 months later I am still unpacking and enjoying the experience as I see things unfolding that I’ve asked for. If you’re looking to disconnect from the outside world and tune in to yourself and nature, The Kene Nete Healing Center in my opinion offers just that. A healing journey to remember!
This is a very special place. On so many levels. The family are so full of love and kindness. My experiences here were profoundly eye opening and heart warming. The healing process can be difficult but the shamans and whole family are with you. What is waiting for you here is beyond words but deeply, deeply beautiful. I can wholeheartedly recommend Kene Nete to anyone seeking an authentic Ayahuasca retreat, one that is not only safe and professional but also deeply rooted in the ancient traditions and wisdom of this sacred plant medicine. Going through the Ayahuasca retreat with Kene Nete was a remarkable, truly life-shifting and unforgettable experience. I had been seeking this kind of experience for a very long time. From the moment I embarked on this journey, the entire team’s commitment to providing an authentic, safe and deeply transformative experience was evident. I felt not only well prepared but, also well supported every step of the way. My journey into the world of Ayahuasca began with a book that ignited my curiosity, which led me to try a one-day Ayahuasca session in Holland. The session was an enjoyable introductory experience but I couldn't help but feel that it lacked the authenticity and depth that I longed for. Upon researching some options for a retreat in Latin America, I felt overwhelmed and uncertain of the endless options on Google. Months later, my intuition led me back to my quest for a more authentic and immersive Ayahuasca experience, and this is when I discovered Kene Nete. Their website provided me with clear and comprehensive information, which instantly put my mind at ease. What truly set them apart was the opportunity for a discovery call. Within hours of my initial interest, I had the privilege of speaking with Urban, who would play a significant role in guiding and preparing me through this extraordinary journey. I was feeling a bit nervous about the cost investment and had concerns about travelling and partaking in the retreat as a woman who was travelling alone and could not speak an ounce of Spanish. Urban's patience and attentiveness during the discovery call left me with a deep sense of trust and assurance. He generously took the time to explain the entire process, addressing all of my questions in great detail and provided me with a clear roadmap for how to best prepare, what to expect and how to plan my trip according to my unique needs and concerns. I booked my trip to Pucallpa only 1 day following my chat with Urban. Upon arrival in Lima, the cordination with the Shipibo family couldn't have been smoother - I felt taken care of and knew what to expect each step of the way. Upon arrival at the hotel, I met the two other guys alongside whom I would be in retreat with. A family member picked us up and took us on a 6 hour boat ride along the Ucayali River deep into the Amazon, to finally reach the village of Payohan. The family was so warm and welcoming; they made us feel like we were part of their family. Over the next 10 days, I was enveloped by the stillness of the jungle, and lovingly held, guided by and immersed in the culture & traditional practices of the Shipibo family. I stayed in a Tambo (decent sized hut) with the basics - had no WIFI, Network or Power for 10 days. My days were filled with a lot of journaling, time spent in solitude & rest, deep vulnerable communal sharing & learning, Amazonian Saunas & flower baths, overnight Ayahuasca ceremonies, drinking other plant medicines, smoking Mapacho, learning Spanish and many many moments spent doing absolutely nothing. No music, no reading. Strict, clean eating - no salt/ spices/ sugar. There was no excess, no escapism. Overall the actual Ayahuasca retreat in the Amazon was a hard, humbling journey of facing, exploring & healing the deepest parts of myself . However, Mama Olinda and her family created such a safe and supportive environment that was most conducive for a transcendental experience of self-discovery and personal growth. The guidance, healing and insights I gained during my time with them were profound and continue to resonate with me today. I am so grateful for the opportunity to fully integrate everything I learnt and experienced into my daily practices & self-development. PS: bring mosquito repellant and sunscreen. Wow! A visit to Kene Nete is the real deal. An authentic ayahuasca experience. Maestra Olinda and her family made me feel as home. Just thinking about it now makes me want to go home again! Beautiful
This was truly a life changing experience. From the moment I decided to go on this journey I have felt completely supported. Mama Olinda and her beautiful family are the most caring people and made this experience one that I will never forget. They welcomed me into the family and made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay there. Urban was also a great person to guide me through this journey. Life changing.
An experience where there’ll forever be a before and after! Even after a positive discovery call with Urban, it wasn’t until I was at the retreat that I believed it to be true (yes, it’s legitimate). From the healing properties of the plants, to being embraced by the beautiful family of shamans, it is a raw, unique and insightful opportunity that has the ability to change your life. Incredible life changing
I was in a real bad place mentally. After I spoke with Urban I felt held and reassured that I had made the right decision to go to Kene nete.
