Welcome to the home of the shamans
As plant medicines like ayahuasca become more popular in the West, retreats are set up by westerners, for Westerners, losing touch with the sacred nature of these ceremonies.
Our retreat is run by a shipibo family deep in the amazon, who carry centuries of experience working with the master plants used in their ceremonies. You’ll be entering their home to embark on your plant medicine journey.
"If the medicine is calling you, trust the process, trust the medicine.
It will change your life. "

Plant medicine, authentically.
Kene Nete Healing Center was founded by Padre Esteban (left), Urban (center) and Mama Olinda (right) in 2022 and is run by their family. The retreat is just outside Pahoyan, A Shibibo village up the Amazonian river from Pucallpa, Peru.
The family carries centuries of experience, with tradition and practice of using Ayahuasca and master plant dietas as healing methods going back to their great ancestors.
If you are looking for a safe and authentic way to use the medicine of Ayahuasca and master plant dietas – You have come to the right place.

What Our Guests Say
Words can´t describe the time I´ve had here. I wanted to experience Ayahuasca with a traditional Shipibo family, and that is what you get here.
James Webb – UK
The Family is really here to support you, more than that, you become a part of their family. You feel so much cared for. In one ceremony, we were 3 guests, 4 shamans, 3 mapacheros so you are supported.
Theo Sanchez – France
I wasn´t very trusting coming here but in a matter of hours, and especially after the first ceremony, I completely changed my mind – The family were there to protect me, guide me and help me.
Callum Rylance – UK
I got to live with the family alone for two weeks without knowing a word Spanish. Night one, I experienced, not in words, that I was loved, I was cared for, and that I was one in the family. I felt so safe and so welcomed
Gareth – Scotland
When I came here I was searching for death, I wasn’t searching for life. It was hard, but once I gave up the pride and the ego, it was such a beautiful journey

FAQ's
The most important thing is to trust what you’re heart says. If your mind needs some more information, we invite you to book a 1 on 1 discovery call with a member of our team, where all of your questions can be answered.
Although ayahuasca is the most well-known of the plant medicines used by the the shipibo people, they have an entire pharmacy of plant medicines and rituals used to treat a variety of ailments. “Master plant dietas” and “Teacher plant ceremonies” are the name given to describe a journey with these lesser known plant medicines, often used alongside ayahuasca. Our shamans will prescribe you a personalised plan if you decide to embark on a “Master plant dieta with us”.
You’re in safe hands
Venturing into the Amazon jungle to take a psychoactive substance with strangers is no doubt a dangerous venture that requires diligent research to be done before hand.
We understand it’s hard to trust a website, which is why we’ve dedicated an entire page to feature video testimonials of our guests (click here to view them).
Before we accept a guest, we require them to have a discovery call with a member of our team, to ensure they’re in good enough physical, mental and spiritual health before journeying with the medicine.
We also have a set of specific protocols you’ll be required to follow before attending the retreat for your safety.
Beyond Ayahuasca
Ayahuasca is perhaps the most well known amazonian plant medicine in the west, yet the shipibo healers have developed an entire pharmacy of healing plants and rituals to treat a variety of ailments.
You’ll have direct access to skilled shamans who will be able to offer you the relvant additional plant medicines to supplement your journeys with ayahuasca. These additinoal plants are included in our all inclusive package, but you are welcome to just take ayahusca.
Our Family
Maestra Olinda (59) grew up in the remote Amazon. From age 16, Olinda worked jointly with her mother, holding ayahuasca ceremonies.

Maestro Robert (35) was born in the Shipibo village of Pahoyan. He started practicing the medicine of ayahuasca at the age of 12.
Gladys (29) was born in the Amazon. A woman dedicated to ancestral medicine and is a daughter of Olinda.
Urban (32) was born in Sweden. Today he works as a coach and co-leads the retreat with the family, connecting the western world to the ancient medicine.

Our Story
Our Mission
The people who come to our retreat are seeking a deeply personal and authentic healing experience, away from the modern world. In order to get that, they need deeply personal and authentic healers to guide them through the journey.
The problem is, many retreats craft “rinse and repeat” programs to optimise their revenues, meaning most guests don’t receive the care and attention needed to truly address their needs.
This is why the Kene Nete Healing Center was created.
Our Origin
Maestro esteban and Maestra Orlinda started as healers in their communities in early life. Wanting to share their healing skills with others, they spent over 15 years each working at various westernised retreats in Puccalpa and Iquitos, only to find these retreats didn’t follow the shipibo way.
Although they raised their concerns to the retreat organisers, they had trouble getting their voices heard.
Our formation
In 2020, Orlina and estaban crossed paths with Urban, a swedish man exploring alternative healing practices to bring to the west. They shared their vision of creating an affordable ayahuasca retreat, in the epicenter of these ancient healing traditions just outside of their home village, to be run by the family, following the sacred traditions and healing arts of their shipibo tribe.
Over the following months, the retreat was built, logistics were organised and we welcomed our first guest in April 2021.
Our Philosophy
This story is why we don’t offer any “predefined” retreat programs as such. You simply choose a time period you’d like to come for, and the shamans will craft you a personal program to meet your goals and create the life changing experience available to anyone who comes here, willing to surrender to the medicine and do the work.
